The Art of the Luthier

Maton started manufacturing guitars in 1946 and has since grown to be a world leader in guitar instrument manufacture. Under founder Bill May, Maton also researched the suitability of, and now utilises specialty Australian timbers in their instruments. These combine to provide unique tonal signatures with emphasis on sonic performance and balance.

Maton continues to investigate new materials and processes in order to produce the world’s finest guitars.
