Soundfirm visit – Dolby Atmos Mixing Theatre
The next meeting of the AES Melbourne Section will be on Monday 9th February at 7:30pm
Soundfirm Melbourne 23-31 Fennell St Port Melbourne.
Senior mixer Chris Goodes will host us on a tour of Soundfirm’s new Fennell St. facility, with special attention to Australia’s first (and, so far – only) Dolby Atmos mixing theatre.
During the tour Chris will describe the Atmos process, playing some demo material and answering any questions.
Atmos is Dolby’s approach to the immersive audio experience in the cinema and home viewing environments, and a technology to watch for the future.
