The next meeting of the AES Melbourne Section will be on Monday 13th November at 7:30pm at

Peter Larsen of Danish loudspeaker design software developer LOUDSOFT will present on the topic

Loudspeaker Design & Test Requirements

The problems all loudspeaker manufacturers must solve

Peter will describe and demonstrate the “Fine Circle” – the use of his Fine suite of software programs and the associated LOUDSOFT support structure in the design and evaluation of loudspeaker drivers, crossovers, and boxes. He will also describe how he has solved tricky loudspeaker design problems for some well-known manufacturers.

Anyone with an interest in loudspeaker design is sure to learn from this presentation.

About Peter Larsen:

Peter Larsen has been working in the loudspeaker industry since 1974. He started his career with SEAS, was Chief Engineer for Vifa (1974-87), ScanSpeak (1987-88), and Dynaudio (1988-90). He then worked with JBL in the USA (1991-93) as a specialist tweeter designer.
After 1993 Peter worked as an independent consultant, specializing in the in-depth analysis of loudspeakers. He has explored manufacturing techniques, research into new components and materials, advanced Acoustic Finite Element modelling, new measurement methods, novel speaker design concepts, and has been involved in the development of several customized products (private label).
In 2001 he founded LOUDSOFT.
