The SCASat Radio Networking System

Designing and implementing a modern nationwide radio networking system

Australian commercial radio networks rely on sophisticated programme networking to deliver their most popular personalities and shows from multiple locations to audiences across the country. The SCASat system leverages the benefits of satellite delivery and wide-area IP networks with audio-over-IP and modern broadcast playout automation techniques to provide a robust program stream to all their stations while maximizing the live-and-local feel to the listeners.

Dan was deeply involved with the SCASat project, and can give us a unique insight into this modern radio networking system.
