Soundfirm visit – Dolby Atmos Mixing Theatre
The next meeting of the AES Melbourne Section will be on Monday 9th February at 7:30pm
at
Soundfirm Melbourne 23-31 Fennell St Port Melbourne.

Senior mixer Chris Goodes will host us on a tour of Soundfirm’s new Fennell St. facility, with special attention to Australia’s first (and, so far – only) Dolby Atmos mixing theatre.
During the tour Chris will describe the Atmos process, playing some demo material and answering any questions.
Atmos is Dolby’s approach to the immersive audio experience in the cinema and home viewing environments, and a technology to watch for the future.

Soundfirm is located on Fennell Street, on the corner of Bertie Street at Port Melbourne.
Fennell Street is two streets behind the Port Melbourne Cricket Ground, off Ingles Street. There is plenty of free unlimited parking available on both Fennell and Bertie Streets.
