The IEEE Victorian Section’s Signal Processing Chapter has issued an invitation to AES Section members and visitors to attend a talk by recording pioneer Bill Armstrong on Wed 5th October at 6pm.

Dr Staples introduced the work of Jim Fulton, hearing researcher, describing how the inner ear converts sound into neural impulses.
After describing the basic arrangement of the components of the ear, the focus changed to concentrate on the physical and neurological construction of the inner ear – the Cochlea and associated neural connections.
The Annual General Meeting of The Audio Engineering Society Melbourne Section (Inc) was held on Mon 12th September 2011, where an election of Officers and Committee was held.
