June/July  is going to be a busy time for AES meetings.
We have two meetings with respected international speakers, one of them just over a week away…..

Firelight Technologies is the Melbourne-based developer of the popular FMOD games audio development platform, which is in use in a range of popular games for the PC, Games Console, and mobile platforms.

Meeting Report: Nov 2010 – Digital Radio in Australia

Melbourne – November 29, 2010

Meeting Location: Lecture Hall 82, RMIT Carlton

Summary

Digital Radio Broadcasting has been on air in Australia for six months and is using the DAB+ standard (Eureka147 DAB using AACplus coding instead of MPEG1LII). The commercial and public sector broadcasters in five capital cities (incl Melbourne) are now on air, with community broadcasters to follow in the next few months.
