AGM sees Rule Changes pass vote and two new Committee Members elected.
The Annual General Meeting of the AES Melbourne Section Inc. was held on Mon 13th August 2012 at Swinburne Uni.
The meeting voted unanimously for the Rule Changes put forward (and circulated well before the meeting). The changes largely bring the Rules up to date by recognizing the role of email and other internet-based communications strategies, as well as referencing the current versions of the State Legislation and Regulations under which Incorporated Associations operate. There was also some cosmetic rearrangement of the Rules layout to bring related sections together for clarity.
The Committee Elections saw two existing Members not stand for re-election – Jim Barbour and Matt Topp.
Existing Committee Member Graeme Huon was elevated to the Vic-Chairman position vacated by Jim Barbour, and two new Committee Members were voted in, Michail Barabasz and Paolo Menolotto to keep the Committee strength constant.
The Committee now is:
Mark Edwards – Chairman
Graeme Huon – Vice-Chairman
Graham Haynes – Treasurer
Peter Smerdon – Secretary
Greg Segal – Committee Member
Rod Staples – Committee Member
Michail Barabasz – Committee Member
Paolo Menolotto – Committee Member
