CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS – AES@SMPTE13

The Australian Sections of the Audio Engineering Society have negotiated a programming partnership for the SMPTE13 Conference and Exhibition.  http://www.smpte.com.au/

The AES is calling for submissions for papers, tutorials, and workshops for this event. Information is available from  http://smpte.com.au/sydney/?page_id=325

To submit a proposal for the AES or SMPTE Conference, please submit an abstract limited to 100 words to  https://edas.info/papers.php?c=14039

Please include the text AES@SMPTE13 in the title to assist with categorising the contributions. Please also supply the full name and title (position within the company or institution) and biography of the Presenter and Author(s) of the paper.

 Proposals/Abstracts need to be received by March 24, 2013.

Expansion of papers presented at previous conferences would be given consideration, as would information previously presented but tailored or revised for the Australian environment.

Topics should be compatible with the Conference theme of “Delivering the Personalised Content Experience”, and include but need not be limited to:-

Audio Transducers     – microphones, headphones, loudspeakers, loudspeaker systems

Audio Equipment       – amplifiers, D to A, A to D convertors, instrumentation, measurement

Audio Processing       – loudness, coding and compression, signal processing,

Audio Systems           – implementation and case studies related to audio developments Multi Channel Sound – stereo, surround sound, and techniques for cinema and 3D sound Audio Perception            – psycho acoustics, speech intelligibility, listening tests and evaluation

This year the SMPTE Conference and Exhibition will be co-located with ENTECH-INTECH in the Sydney Exhibition Centre. Access to the exhibitions is free, and the Conference (tutorials, papers, and workshop sessions) is being priced at a level which should be personally affordable by media practitioners.

SMPTE13 is organised by The Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers – Australia Section in conjunction with the Australian Cinematographers Society and the Audio Engineering Society as programming partners.
